Outcropping, high priority gold target on the eastern side of the Nanortalik Gold Belt, South Greenland.

Overview

The Nanoq gold prospect lies approximately 120 km northeast of Amaroq’s Nalunaq gold mine and within the Eastern half of the Nanortalik Gold Belt and upon a mineral structure running 25km to Jokum’s Shear. Quartz vein hosted mineralisation is contained within approximately 4 km2 of a spectacular sequence of volcano-sedimentary rocks, previously held and explored by Goldcorp.

Historic channel sampling conducted by Goldcorp, has returned high grade results with gold related to NNE-striking, steeply dipping quartz-bearing shear zones. The most prominent shear zone is over 1 km long and up to 20 metres wide. Gold is also associated with a cross cutting copper mineralising system, providing potential to host a multi-commodity project.

With two 100% owned mineral licences nearby, Amaroq holds rights to the full extent of a 25Km long prospective mineral belt.
