Massive nickel/copper sulphide exploration into a layered intrusion with similar geological features to the major Voisey’s Bay project in neighbouring Labrador.

Overview

The Stendalen layered intrusive has previously been explored by the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (“GEUS”), Softrock Mineral and NunaMineral A/S for is outcropping, up to 20m thick Iron-Vanadium-Titanium mineralisation. However, Amaroq has also commenced exploration within this 8 km in diameter layered sequence for platinum group elements and massive nickel/copper sulphide mineralisation at depth using a similar geological model to that used for Voisey’s Bay.

Historical samples have yielded between 1-10.5% titanium dioxide (TiO2) (average of 4.8%) and 226-5,753ppm vanadium (V) (average 2,335ppm) and surface grab samples of 0.8% copper, 0.5% nickel and 0.1% cobalt.
