Two areas in 1 exploration licence over two greenstone belts in SW Greenland. Gold mineralisation has been identified in both licence areas within quartz veins, massive sulphides and structurally altered schists. Historical drilling consists of 1,824m drilled over 36 holes by Cominco Ltd. and NUNAOIL, highlighting intersections (apparent thicknesses) of:
−2.5m at 4.8 g/t in a winkie drill program
−2m at 6.6 g/t and 1.97m at 8.28 g/t in a diamond drilling program
Channel sampling identified high grade mineralisation up to 106.0 g/t over 0.5m
Gold mineralization is found in two distinct, moderately-dipping, 50-100m wide shear zones that can be traced in outcrop for approximately 5 km (ECZ and WCZ in picture on bottom left). Future work is required to test the grade continuity across the entire mineralised belt and identify areas of grade and tonnage that represent economic interest.
